Body Configuration and Powertrain

Gladiator comes in a handy four-door five-seat configuration with a five-foot truck bed and is the only convertible truck available on the market. It features a standard zipperless Sunrider soft top, but Endwell shoppers seeking a hard top option can equip the available lightweight Freedom Top. Like the Jeep Wrangler, Gladiator offers a true open-air experience with four removable doors and a fold-down windshield.

Under the hood, motivation is supplied by a potent 3.6-liter V-6 powerplant. Paired with a six-speed manual transmission (or available eight-speed automatic) and standard four-wheel drive, the engine produces 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. More than just an off-road powerhouse, Gladiator is a real truck with real truck capability. With the standard Class II bumper hitch Gladiator can tow up to 4,500 pounds; and with the available Max Tow package, towing capacity rises to a class-leading 7,650 pounds.

The available integrated Trailer Brake Controller allows you to easily customize trailer braking power, and the ParkView Rear Back Up Camera features an available 4X hitch zoom for hassle-free hitch alignment. Need to load up the truck bed? Gladiator offers best-in-class payload: up to 1,700 pounds.

With a platform based on the legendary Jeep Wrangler, Gladiator excels at both work and play. So, it's no surprise that its off-road prowess far exceeds what the competition has to offer. While other trucks reserve off-road capability for a special trim level, Gladiator is ready to go out of the box, with standard features like Dana 44 axles, skid plates, and tow hooks. Trail obstacles are no problem thanks to 10 inches of ground clearance, and a high-mounted air intake a special electrical sealing allow Gladiator to traverse water crossings up to 30 inches deep.

For those looking to take trail tackling tenacity to the extreme, Gladiator Rubicon comes fully equipped for ultimate capability away from the tarmac. Rubicon features include:
